Media Internship at Treehouse

We are looking for an enthusiastic Media Intern to join our team for a 3-month internship.

Ideal for someone with a passion for social media and an interest in technology education and media production, this paid internship offers hands-on experience in media and communications, culminating in a portfolio of work and a professional reference—both of which can be leveraged for future employment opportunities.

• Create and schedule compelling content across various social platforms including X, Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn.
• Monitor social media channels for trends, inquiries, and feedback.
• Analyze and report on social media performance using key metrics.
• Collaborate with teams across the company to refine our social media approach.
• Maintain and update content on our WordPress blog.
• Support the development and implementation of media campaigns to promote our courses, events, and community achievements.
• Assist in the creation and development of content including videos and print.
• Help manage and update content across multiple media platforms, including our YouTube channel and internal libraries.
• Work closely with different teams, including marketing, content development, and community management, to produce content that enhances our brand and educates our audience.

• Proficiency in WordPress, particularly in blog posting.
• Familiarity with ChatGPT and its applications for enhancing efficiency.
• Experience managing social media.
• Strong written and visual communication skills.
• Familiarity with SEO best practices.
• Design skills are highly desirable.
• Ability to manage time effectively, work independently, and meet deadlines.
• Ability to work independently and remotely.
• Your own computer and internet connection is required.

• A 3-month internship gaining hands-on experience in media and communications, culminating in a portfolio of work and a professional reference, both of which can be leveraged for future employment opportunities.
• A flexible 15-hour work week to accommodate your studies or other commitments.
• A stipend of $10/hr.
