In this video, we'll use the useEffect() Hook to make the stopwatch tick. React's built-in useEffect Hook lets you perform side effects, like fetching data or, in our case, setting a timer. The useEffect Hook method also helps you handle unmounting of components which can help prevent memory leaks in your application.
