Java Java Basics Perfecting the Prototype Looping until the value passes

continually prompt the user in a do while loop. The loop should continue running as long as the response is No

Error: java.lang.RuntimeException: Too many loops attempted. Check your while condition()

Example.java
// I have initialized a java.io.Console for you. It is in a variable named console.
String response;
do{

response = console.readLine("enter response");

Hi Atul,

You're pretty much there with that. However, a couple of points; first, you don't need the second readLine - you have already captured user input with your first one so use that to assign the value entered into response. There's also no need to print the response out - the user know what thy've entered and, lastly, you should compare strings with the equals() method, not ==.

Putting that all together and you get something like:

String response;
do{
  response = console.readLine("Do you understand while loops?");
}while(response.equals("No"));

I hope that helps,

Steve.

Thanks a lot Steve.
