You can get up and running with a WordPress blog pretty easily. Depends how much you want to customise it. You could get by with a pre-made theme if you don’t need it to match your existing site.

If you’re already comfortable with HTML / CSS then you could probably put something together fairly quickly after watching some of the courses on Treehouse.

You wouldn’t need to “code” a blog with WordPress since it’s a blogging platform out of the box. Once you’ve set it up it’s mainly down to how you want it to look which is controlled by HTML / CSS in a theme.

WordPress is a great choice for a blog. It’s the most popular blogging platform in the world. There are many other options out there but you can get a lot of support from the online community for WordPress.
