Do I need to make actual web pages or real projects in order to do it. I started learning in Treehouse about two months ago and I can make some basic websites but I haven't worked in more than one project to show on my portofolio.
I'm thinking about something like a gallery with links to portofolio1.example.com. So is it a valid option to make it through subdomains that show my knowledge in Json, jQuery, etc.
What do you think about it?

18,938 PointsYou don't have to link to an actual site unless you want to. And I wouldn't worry about making sub-domains just to show the code. Screen shots of the website on your page are just fine. If you want to take a screen shot of the code and add that as well, that would work. You could also put snippets of your code on github.io or codepen.io and then link to those.
It is becoming very common for people to use github and codepen as part of their portfolio. Showing that you know how to use github is an added bonus :)
