About the Github desktop application.

I just have finished the course on github with the terminal, which ended up persuading me to change my SO to Ubuntu, since installing that app and many others is easier for me. And now I see that they developed a desktop app with a much easier graphic user interface.

What are your thoughts on that?

I have used it a few times on my Ubuntu laptop and on my MacBook. It is nice to be able to see your branches and commits at a single glance without writing commands. All that being said, I still go back my terminal for small/personal projects.

When it comes to building large scale software, I prefer to have a gui git client... it makes things like cherry picking and switching braces a little simpler.

Not sure if this helps at all, but it's the best way for me.

It certainly does, it just made me wonder. Thanks! :D
