Android Android Tools Getting Started with Genymotion Using a Genymotion Emulator

Adding GenyMotion to Andriod studio

Hey Everyone! I have the instructions on how to add Genymotion to your android studio!

If you're on a mac follow the directions!

Go to Preferences under android studio, Click Plugins, then click “Browse Repositories”, After you've done that search for Genymotion, Right click and choose "Download and Install"!

For a PC

Click File>Settings>Plugins (Near bottom of left hand list)> Look for "Install JetBrains plugin" Click on it> scroll down list until you find Genymotion>Click that and install!

You'll want to restart Android Project for both PC and MAC and this will allow you to have that button on the top right of your screen next to the help button!

Now what you need to do is Click that button on the top right and it will ask you to search for Genymotion, You'll simply choose the path that it is installed at or use the path to the short cut (Example: C:\Program Files\Genymobile\Genymotion) Thats where mine is at, apply the changes, click ok, then click on the Genymotion icon on the top right again and you'll have a screen asking you to create a new emulator if you haven't created on you'll simply choose "New" and create one you would like to use. Once you've done this you'll then want to select it, then choose "Start", The emulator will start and then you can start running your applications from Android Studio!

Cheers!! Good luck! and have fun!
