Adobe Photoshop

I do not know if you can get it cheaper in the US but in the UK Photoshop CS6 is around 530 USD!!!! However I can get Adobe-Photoshop-Elements-13 (student and teacher) for around 100 USD. Would the Elements 13 be suitable for the course?? There is no way I can really afford over $500.

Many thanks,

Berry.

Berry,

Photoshop has an option to get Photoshop and Lightroom for $9.99/mo. You don't own the programs, but you have access to them through the cloud. Once you stop paying, you no longer have access. It's a great option to get some hands on experience. Here's a link to it...

Hi Berry

I agree! $530 is a lot of money to spend for software! However, you have multiple options when it comes to buying Photoshop. You can outright purchase it or you can pay a monthly subscription for it. I personally brought Photoshop through there student price because at the time I was a high schooler; but if you do that you do have to be tied to a education institute and they will ask for a student ID card or teacher ID card if you choose that price. I wouldn't recommend Elements for Treehouse just because of the sort of work you have to do. But before buying anything download Photoshop's 30 day trail to see if it's worth your time and money!

I hope this helped!

I suggest going with Photoshop CC (it's a subscription based) for around $10/month. That way you can keep your initial investment low. I haven't done the Photoshop lessons on here in a long time but I'm sure CC will work for you instead of CS5/CS6.

Many thanks for all your suggestions. I will go with a mix. 1. Go for a student pass - I have checked with Adobe and taking a Tree house course qualify s you for as a student. 2. Get a free trial. 3. Go with a subscription for Photoshop when I need it.

Many thanks all again.

Kind regards,

Berry.
