hi i am plan on replacing my dead Windows 7 laptop with a windows 8 laptop but i want to know if the wordpress plugin development tools are supported such as Php and also i like to try Ruby on rails and lastly Android sdk .please respond before i regret my buying a laptop for nothing

Courses Plus Student 7,386 PointsThey are all supported on Windows 8 I happily develop both WordPress themes and Ruby stuff on my Windows 8 laptop.
My only suggestion would be to get the laptop, wipe the hard rive and put Ubuntu or Mint Linux on it lol.
