After setting up rbenv environment and exiting, I'm getting a syntax error upon opening a new terminal window

After setting up rbenv environment and exiting, I'm getting a syntax error upon opening a new terminal window, and it goes a li'l something like this:

-bash: eval: line 1: syntax error near unexpected token )' -bash: eval: line 1: init -)'

Thoughts?
