Although I make no changes to task 1 and get the first part correct, once I try do task 2 it says I made a mistake.

I cannot continue like this

current_count = 14
planned = 5
upcoming_releases = 2
del planned
total = sum(current_count + upcoming_releases)

A syntax error invalidates the entire program, and so the re-check of previous tasks will fail.

The error here is that the "sum" function requires an iterable, but you are passing it a scalar value.

Hint: you probably don't really need to use that function here.
