Android Studio TextSize change not present in emulation

Hi I keep changing the size of my text in my app and it shows the change in the design and text view but not in the emulation. Is there a reason this is happening? And also everytime i load i get an error 0x3009 . Is there a fix? Any help would be appreciated! Thankyou!
