Answer 1 in code challenge no longer passes in step 2.

In the first step, my answer is accepted. In the second step, my answer no longer passes. Does the code of the alert box contain errors?

  if (number1 > number2) {
    return number1;
  }

  if (number1 < number2) {
    return number2;
  }

Answer:

I did not put in any real number values for "number1" and "number2". Thus, no alert box is created.

For example:

alert(max(1, 5));

number1 and number2 don't exist when you are calling the function.

You have to put in actual numbers, like 5 and 64.

alert(max(36, 64));
