Async vs Sync!!!

I understand the difference between the two conceptually, but with the physical code how do you know which is which? Any examples?

Async code is tied into the event mechanism, which can be done a variety of ways. One likely (but not guaranteed) clue is that a function which operates asynchronously will often take a callback argument, which is another function that will be used to indicate completion at a later time. An example is the built-in "setTimeout" function:

setTimeout( function () { console.log('done'); },  // <-- callback
            2000 );

Thank You!!
