backend web developer - is there a track for it?

Hello dear developers community I want to be a backend web developer, how can I use treehouse in order to learn the skills needed? node.js, security, authentication, database, test unit etc. is there a track for it? if not is there an advisor who can help me organize the courses I need ? thanks

The Full Stack JavaScript track covers both front-end and back-end development and includes node.js, but most back-end development will be found in the tracks associated with the popular back-end languages like PHP, Ruby/Rails, C#, etc.

The backend tracks are based on the programming language you want to use.

  • The first step is to choose the language you want to use for the backend and take courses to learn it.
  • Ruby and the framework Rails are a popular choice and there is a track for each. Then there is C#, Javascript, Python and Java to name a few.
  • Look at a few job descriptions for companies you might want to work at and choose a language.
  • Also, take the SQL track to learn about SQL and databases.
  • Basically, as a back-end developer you are using a language to connect websites to databases.
