before_action :set_post performance

Does the before_action :set_post approach save anything in terms of performance, or is it strictly to provide cleaner code?

I haven't benchmarked anything (I doubt anyone outside the Rails core team has), but I'm guessing that before_action calls actually impose a very (very) small performance penalty by requiring a couple extra method calls. So yes, the main goal is cleaner code.
