When you create the combined string, use the variables that were set in the first few lines instead of repeating the literal strings.

Also be sure to use spacing and punctuation exactly as shown in the example, don't leave any out or add any extra.

Explain?

const msg = firstName, + ' ' + lastName + role'.';

You're getting closer! But now:

  • there should be no comma on the line
  • you'll need to add a literal ": " (colon and space) between the last name and the role
  • the period at the end of the instruction sentence is not part of the string to be created

I wonder if Sahmad ever did.   :hushed:

You're getting closer!

*const msg = firstName, + ' ' + lastName: + role;

let msg = firstName, + ' ' + lastName: + role;

const msg = 'firstName' , + ' ' + 'lastName' : + 'role';

const msg = firstName, + ' ' + lastName : + role;

const msg = Sahmad, + ' ' + Nakumbe: + developer;

const msg = 'Sahmad', + ' ' + 'Nakumbe': + 'developer';

let msg = 'Sahmad' + ' ' + 'Nakumbe' + ':' + 'developer' + '.';
