Best simple CMS for a one page website

I have this simple html/css website for a client: www.leysrudi.be. (it's in dutch)

Now I'm looking for a simple CMS where the client can add easily some new newsmessages and manage the content of the static pages, no other big functionallities.

It's a one page website.

I'm looking for a CMS that is very intuitive for the client.

I've read that WordPress is a good solution, but also for a one pager like this? Some people also say WordPress is an overkill for small websites like mine.

What are your experiences with WP or other CMS' on a project of the same size as mine?

I would be using WordPress, its very simple to use great for customizing what the user can have access to, to prevent any "something has happened to my website" emails from clients basically meaning they had a little explore and changed something and now its down to you to figure out what ......

Overkill is a silly way of looking at it because of wordpress predominately being based around a blog it would be so simple to set up, choose a theme drop a logo in and hand over the login details.

The one negative may be that by only needing one page if your not familiar with coding a wordpress theme or editing child themes it may take a little playing around with to get rid of the "nav" "widgets" "comments" and so on, I do however imagine this will be the for joomla and the likes .....

Hope this helps

I would totally agree with Craig,

WordPress is a powerful and versatile solution for almost every business. There is so much documentation available on WordPress to help you find a way to solve the specific needs of the business you are working with.

I even think that TreeHouse has a workshop on setting a up a one page WordPress site.

Drupal would be another solution, and is very similar to WordPress in a lot of ways. (As far as managing content on the back-end). However it is the WordPress community that makes it such a powerful platform to use.

Thanks for your answers, I think I'm gonna play a little with WordPress and Drupal, to see which one fits me the best. :-)
