Best way to get started on Fiverr/Freelancer

I'm working on completing the web design track, and I have intermediate skills in HTML/CSS plus experience with Squarespace. Since I'm still relatively new to web design, what is the best way to start doing projects on sites like Fiverr/Freelancer?

Sure, can you design me a web site that does everything treehouse does, and can I have it this week ? And also I want to pay only 5$, but only after you are done and it's there's not any problem. And, can you teach me how did everything also ?

Seriously though - fiver is reputation based site, so the first step is to put up a searchable profile with what you want to sell. It will be slow at first but once you build rep, you will have more work than you want - but perhaps not at a great rate.
