Build a nav system that looks like an atom?

Hello TTH Forum!

This is a bit of a random request, but I’m looking to build a bit more of a complicated nav system than most of the tutorials I’ve seen.

“An ATOMIC nav system which has some pretty deep routes in the ideas of TED-talk extraordinaire Simon Sinek.” As my knowledge is pretty limited but I’m REALLY keen to start this project and learn by doing I was hoping I could get some advice from the forum!

I could create one of the longest forum questions known to man, by writing out the whole idea or …. And I think a little easier on us all, I’ve attached the sketches I did when I decided this was the way I wanted to go.

http://we.tl/9GoGuWP8KD - It’s 1.8mbs

Just so I don’t offend or anything, I’m not looking for someone to tell me exactly what to do or do the work for me. Just a little advice on starting points, maybe specific videos or modules to watch or rewatch, common problems to look out for? After that I’m more the happy to crack on, make some mistakes and do this thing.

Thanks for giving your time reading this! Good luck to you and yours:)

Ross, what you're asking about would involve complex code. The closest thing I've seen (not in navigation): CSS 3D Solar System.

I'd maybe try to network on CodePen—see if they can give you some pointers. Most likely you'll have to learn advanced CSS and JavaScript—not exactly a beginner project...

Thank you Dustin.

Yeah the example you gave is a good one, quite a lot more advanced that what i'm aiming at but good i really like it as a reference. I hadn't thought about code:pen, i'll head there too.
