My friend and my are wanting to start a business in the web industry where do we start and what should be get into; web app, mobile apps or WordPress sites?

6,214 PointsAs someone with experience in both web and mobile, I would suggest that you first decide what type of product you would like to create. From that product idea, a certain list of requirements will emerge and the answer to whether mobile/app/wordpress will come to the front.
Take Instagram for instance, this works much better as mobile app first than a web app. With their current design, their web app will only ever be a companion app to the mobile app.
On the other hand e-commerce probably fits better with a web-first approach. Once your website is up and running then focus on creating a mobile app that adds value to your web users. (Think amazon).
