You don't need to complete the learning adventure prior to working with clients just choose your projects wisely. My suggestion is to avoid marketing yourself too heavily until you feel comfortable with the services you will be providing. Leverage friends, family and even professional networks to build up your experience and portfolio. Good luck and enjoy the journey it is a very rewarding one.

Friendly Mod Note :tm: - Remember the best titles are short yet descriptive, 5 to 10 words is usually a good rule of thumb for a title.

Hey! I have done the learning adventures for web development and it's helped a lot! I had absolutely zero experience before doing this and now I am working on websites! I did start with my husband's company, working on his website but I also practiced by making a fun personal website with just photos and an about me page as practice. I'm not sure how you go about finding clients but I definitely think starting with friends/family is the way to go but make sure you create a few websites for the experience before looking for clients. I went through all the videos and exercises first then started to build my husband's company's website and went back to a lot of the videos for refreshers. I haven't reached out to any clients yet but I hope to also do that as well, but at least by doing my personal website and my husband's I have a few reference points for my clients when I do start to look.

Good luck!

Great to hear that Kelley, It's nice to hear other people on the same road as me doing so well! It's good motivation.
