There's no single way to achieve an objective in a non-trivial task. Developers always have choices, and generally any choice that creates the expected result is acceptable.

Among the choices that all do the job, factors to decide among them are:

  • code that's easier to read and maintain
  • code that is more compact
  • code that executes more efficiently

These 3 objectives may sometimes conflict, so the optimal solution can often involve some level of compromise.

Thank you Steven, I was just worried about writing a bunch of code that is not achieving the first two points you mentioned.
