Can someone help me?

I'm struggling with this task and I don't know how to solve it. :(

You're halfway there.

It looks like you've already passed task 1. Now after the function you just made, you just need to create a new variable named "echo" and set it by calling your function with a string parameter. It would look something like this (but you can choose your own string):

var echo = returnValue("here is a string");
