I cant seem to figure this one out

Full Stack JavaScript Techdegree Student 8,518 PointsYour code is mostly right. The only thing you need to change is your listItems variable, you are currently getting the <ul> list and not the <li> list items, so you need to change it like so:
// replace this
// let listItems = document.getElementsByTagName('ul');
// with this
let listItems = document.getElementsByTagName('li');
