Can't figure out what i'm doing wrong here...

Am I placing this code in the wrong place. Or am I just doing something stupid, AGAIN?

index.php
<?php
$name = 'Mike';

IF ($name == 'Mike') {

  return 1;

  echo "Hi, I am " . $name . "!";

}

?>

Hello Joshua,

There should be no return in this if statement. Return is used to .... well return a value from a function. And you don't have a function here. So your code should look like this:

<?php
$name = 'Mike';

if ($name == 'Mike') {

  echo "Hi, I am " . $name . "!";

}
?>
