Can't launch the console in Treehouse. Used own console so far but isn't working to add user permissions. What can I do?

Trying to complete Console Foundations but am now stuck. The console in Treehouse doesn't launch for me -- have tried the quick fixes that were suggested with no luck. So I've been using the command prompt on my computer or Git Bash to do the training. Now I'm on the part of the course that deals with users and permissions and this no longer works. Any tips on what I need to do to keep using my own command prompt to complete the training or how to get the Treehouse console to launch? Thanks!

I had this same problem when I was using Microsoft Edge. Try using chrome and see if it works. Perhaps its your pop up blocker?

I'm using Chrome, so it must be something else. Oh wait, maybe it's because Chrome isn't set as my default browser. I'll check that. Thanks!

Still doesn't work. This is error message: This webpage is not available

ERR_CONNECTION_TIMED_OUT

Can you check a and make sure Chrome is up-to-date Menu> About Google Chrome (should state up-to-date) If there are update issues http://www.google.com/chrome/ (may have to reinstall)

If that doest work you can reset Chrome Menu> Settings> Show Advanced Settings> Reset Settings> Reset Clears cookies & site data, disables extensions (you can turn back on) Resets your current Profile (not any others you may have)

Hope that helps

Thanks again for your help. I tried updating Chrome but it didn't change anything. I was able to launch the console from Treehouse when I went to class the other night, so is there some kind of setting for my home internet connection that may be messing things up? I work from home and have an injury that requires special seating so really need to be able to do the Treehouse work from home.
