Career path of a front-end developer?

Hi guys, I am a 28 years old front-end developer with 5 years experience. I am not the top developer, but I am a decent one, at least in my current company (7 people media studio) I thought about where I will be in 10 years, 20 years, 30 yeas. I could imagine if I keep working this industry, one day I will become a project manager, or a team leader. But what's after?

Many Thanks Luke

You could maybe start mastering other parts of web development.

I seriously love that chart. It gave me tons of new ideas for stuff to start learning about!

The mind map was made by Will Stern and taken from his youtube video. He goes over a lot of different things and what to expect — some stuff he had learned along the way.

Yes! I watched it a few weeks back when I got distracted trying to get Jekyll working on my Windows machine. (It was a bright spot in an otherwise nightmarish ordeal.)

Nice that's pretty cool :)

Thank you Dustin. I am learning Angular JS, jquery ajax atm. But I am not sure if I want to keep programming when I am 55 or 65. I am thinking about to expand my career path a little bit?

Luke, I understand that. Have you thought about starting your own business? I'm sure you have plenty of time between now and then. Otherwise, do you see the company you're with now providing you with an opportunity in the future? It always helps to keep things fresh and try new things.

One last suggestion. Maybe you could take your masterful programming knowledge after a while and write books or provide training to others.
