change the implementation rules of helper method

Okay, so let's use our new isFullyCharged helper method to change our implementation details of the charge method. Let's make it so it will only charge until the battery reports being fully charged. Let's use the ! symbol and a while loop. Inside the loop increment mBarsCount.

This is the question, but I don't know what to do, can you help me?

GoKart.java
public class GoKart {
  public static final int MAX_ENERGY_BARS = 8;
  private String mColor;
  private int mBarsCount;

  public GoKart(String color) {
    mColor = color;
    mBarsCount = 0;
  }

  public String getColor() {
    return mColor;
  }

  public void charge() {
    mBarsCount = MAX_ENERGY_BARS;
  }

  public boolean isBatteryEmpty() {
    return mBarsCount == 0;
  }

  public boolean isFullyCharged() {
    return mBarsCount == MAX_ENERGY_BARS;
  }
}

Hi Valentijn,

You want to use the isFullyCharged() method within the method, charge(). To begin, remove the code that is already inside charge(); you will then need a while loop; you will use the isFullyCharged() method in conjunction with ! (i.e. not symbol) to keep the loop running until MAX_ENERGY_BARS is reached; you are running the loop while the car is not fully charged (i.e. !isFullyCharged()); lastly, within the loop you will want to increment mBarsCount (i.e. mBarsCount++).

I hope this helps; if not, I can try to clarify any misunderstandings.

Best, Clayton

Tnx for your help, I got it now..
