Combining function with if...else

Looking to return max number between x & y. Not sure how to write if....else within a function. Help?

  if(width>length) {
    x = true;
  } else {

   return(max(14, 24));
}

Hi Jennifer, you can use return directly between the {}, like this:

function max(width, length) {
  if(width>length) {
    return width;
  } else {
    return length;
  }
}
