conditional statement inside a function

There seems to be a syntax error in my program but i can't figure out where the error is coming from

script.js 
a=1;
b=2;

function max(a,b){

  return 2;
  }
if(){
b>a;

}

Here's a few hints:

  • the conditional expression must be inside the parentheses following the "if"
  • the conditional must be done inside the function and before the return;
  • the value being returned should be one of the arguments that was passed in
  • if the conditional fails the other argument should be returned
