Content slider with separate pagination

I'm using Joomla to create a a website and the about us page needs to be a content slider with milestones in blocks underneath that when clicked show some content in the slider. is there a free option like this or is there a way i could do it manually. I'm still pretty new to the web design world as this is only my seventh site. any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you for your reply. this extension is close and the links would work great. i just need a horizontal slider. one that looks more like a slideshow with an image description making up half of the frame.
