Create a new rule that targets the span element inside .intro. Give the span element a bold font weight and an italic fo

I'm putting the 'span' element INSIDE the '.Intro ' element. Why isn't it working, LOL!
I've even tried a separate new rule like this.........

.intro { font-size: 1.25em; line-height: 1.6; }

.intro span { font-weight: bold; font-style: italic; }

This is also a duplicate. Asking multiple times on treehouse actually doesn't get people to answer quicker. We see the questions as answered or not regardless :smile:

<p class="intro"></p>
        Lake Tahoe is one of the most <span>breathtaking attractions</span> located in California. It's home to a number of ski resorts, summer outdoor recreation, and tourist attractions. Snow and skiing are a significant part of the area's reputation.
</p>

As your code is written, you have a broken tag. You have a closing </p> after the opening with the class of intro. It makes the text, and the span be outside of the tag, which will make the selector ".intro span" not work. If you delete the </p> thats on the same line as <p class="intro"> it should work fine.
