Custom Image for Jumbotron

When adding a background image to the jumbotron, should the image be sized appropriately before using? Or will it be scaled to fit based on the jumbotron's size?

Hi Brittney

It depends on the image, the image may look pixelated or stretched if you explicitly set the size of the background image.

You can add class properties that will scale the image to its container with the use of auto and percentages however depending on the aspect ratio and resolution will depend on how that image looks.

When I use images on a site I will typically keep them the same aspect ratio and have 3 different resolutions, small medium, and large. That way all images/jumbotrons on the site have the same look and feel without losing quality.
