Custom post types and multilingual plugins

I have tried Pods framework for custom post types, and found myself with a huge problem when trying to make it work with free multilingual plugin polylang.
After investing a lot of time in learning how to use it I found when writing content in a new language for the CPT it deletes the original language content. To me it's very frustrating that Wordpress does not come as multilingual out of the box and have to deal with plugin compatibility issues. Content post types is a huge thing to make WP a CMS. I was wondering if anyone else had similar issues with any other custom post types plugin. Has any of you been able to work with CPT UI or any custom type plugins and polylang?

There is a premium multilingual plug-in called WPML, I haven't tried it yet, but it might work for you, if you find a better solution, please share it, I'm in the same situation, I think I'll try WPML.
