Database question, SQL in particular

So I'm trying to make a database for my website but have absolutely 0 experience in databases. Can anyone point me in the right direction for making one?

You need to do the Database Foundations Course. This will help you with what software you need and start teaching you some MySQL and SQL skills.

You should get WAMP server(for windows) or MAMP server(for mac users), learn PHP and MySQL as well, they have courses here, take that up and you'll find your way.
