Defining variables inside an IF statement?

Can we define variables or constants inside an IF or an ELSE statement?

What about defining variables or constants inside a WHILE statement?

Is it a good practice?

Great question! If you defined variables in a IF / ELSE statement, the code outside might cause an error, due to if the variable isn't defined. You can only define the same variable once, if you define a variable in a while loop, most likely it'll run more than once, causing an error (because it is defining the variable twice or more!). I'd say it is best practice NOT to do these.

Hope that helped! :dizzy:
