Definition of "Personal Use"

I've seen some fonts that have descriptions like "free for personal use".

When I googled, I came across this :

DEFINITION of 'Personal Use Property' A type of property that an individual does not use for business purposes or hold as an investment. In other words, property that an individual owns for personal enjoyment.

I have a few questions.

  1. Does using a font on a non-commercial project count as personal use?
  2. Can fonts labeled “For personal use” be distributed?
  3. What are some limitations for "personal use" fonts?

Please enlighten me. Thank you.

I can't find anything specific but my guess would be it's fine to distribute so long as you're not getting financial reimbursement in any way. Although you could just direct the person to the website where the media or font is supplied.

If it's a font you're not supposed to sell that font file but use the font on a website where products are being sold. However a Lawyer may have to correct me on that ;)
