Deploying a Ruby app to my host

I have a virtual private server and am trying to load a ruby app on it to view over the www. Are there any Tree House tutorials for this?

If its on your virtual private server and you want to view over www, you would need to have a domain name present and have some configurations present. If you're using AWS, take a look into setting up on AWS's EC2 initially and have your firewall (security) open to the specified port. This still won't be a "www" website but its a start.

I'd recommend you test the functionality by deploying a rails app locally (e.g. rails -s) with builtin webricks which points to your localhost:[port] before moving forward to a virtual private server.

My app works fine on my localhost using webricks. Now I would like to add it to my website as you would if you made an app in php.
