So i was wondering if anyone has ever been in this boat before?

So is it possible to redesign a web agencies company or is it best to ask them for permission before i redesign i just don't want any trouble and if anyones been in this boat before can you offer some insight :)

If i were you, i would contact them and ask about what i can and can't do. You might get answers about things you didn't even thought of ;)

I would always ask for permission. However it's always great to get inspiration from competitors and other design agencies, as long as you're not copying anything and just use their website as an inspiration for your own work, this is totally fine.
