Design for iOS.

I want to learn graphic design for iOS, I have Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop available. I want to learn Sketch, but I don't own it yet; in the meantime what should I learn?

I've been using the Adobe Suite for a very long time. Last year I purchased Sketch and it's been invaluable when it comes to my prototypes (both web and mobile).

There's also many awesome plug-ins for Sketch. One of my favs is Icon Stamper - https://github.com/tylergaw/icon-stamper - which will take your initial iTunes Artwork and create all of your subsequent icons automagically.

Sketch is awesome.

No problem - and good luck! I'm an HTML/CSS kind of guy - but found the iOS stuff easier than learning some of the deep Adobe tricks. :)

Did you use Illustrator or Photoshop? And yes I am planning on purchasing Sketch in the future :).

I've been using both for probably 15 years (I'm a Creative Director for a large corporation). The learning curve with Illustrator is much higher, IMO - but it's worth it. Creating vectors is the way to go - you can scale up and down with no loss in fidelity, etc... Sketch is vector as well. You can't go wrong with either - the learning curve is much high with Illustrator, though.
