Design of Websites

Dear Community, I am pretty happy with the community at Treehouse but want to ask.... When it comes to securing a client this person will mostly look at interface design, landing page creation etc. I have noticed that Treehouse focuses a lot on the development part. Would you recommend any site where I could also learn about Design and while advancing placing a portfolio together? I have looked at Digital Tutors and Lynda.com but they dont have such a defined path. Thoughts?

I have taken a lot of Lynda courses, they are good, but most of them talk about Software instead of Design concepts itself. You should take a look at tutsplus. Regards!
