Designer requires honest feedback and real criticism on logo design.

Logo for modern family owned chinese wok restaurant with 200 seats in Belgium. The restaurants serves mainly Chinese wok dishes (with show cooking) but also some international food like pizza, ect.

Hey buddy.

Loving the logo work. :)

The 1st logo is cool. There is only a few problems. Chris Bell mentioned about the black (DOT) above that E letter. That does not seem to fit in with the design. Also the WOK and Imperial needs to in-line with each other as your see on the right hand side that is white space. (If you can crop this your see what I mean)

The 2nd logo looks good. When looking at the logo it seems that the font used does not seem right. The font is not easy to read. Don't get me wrong you have done a good job and im sure your clients will be very happy. When comparing the two designs. The 1st one just stands out. :D

I agree, the first one is pretty cool.

Thanks Zack for you comment. With the font I've tried to stylise it to the chineese writing, but obviously it spoiled readability. I've tried to align letters "I" and "L" between guides, but visualy it doesn't look right.

Hey Kirill,

I think the first one is pretty cool, the only thing black dash above the E shouldn't image the image of the WOK as it doesn't look right, it's all red and this on black symbol goes into it. Personally I think it would look better if you lowered the Imperial wording so it doesn't do this,

Hope this helps

Thank you Chris, after reading your comment it's actually makes sense that the dash over E just spoils the harmony.

The balance of the 1st logo works better, however thinking about scalability I may drop the texture on the crown as detail that fine would not show up on something small, for instance a pen.

The logo I currently work with is similar in shape to the second variation and we consistently have issues trying to balance other elements with it, for instance on a business card everything looks like it is not centered correctly because of the circular shape to the right side.

Thanks Sarah for pointing out the scalability issue and visibility of the fine details in the logo.
