What is the difference between selecting a div that appears in each column (.col) and selecting the container that holds all of the columns in it (.columns)?

8,666 PointsSelecting each of the column would modify each of it. For example, you give each of them a background-color: red;, everyone of them has their own red background-color. But when you selecting the container, you only get one background-color right behind those column.
As for tha class naming like .col or .column, it's all up to you, you don't have to use that particular name. Except you use a CSS Framework that has already a class name for particular use.
Try it yourself and you'll see the difference for sure :) Hope this helps..
