Display inline-block

Can some assist me with Challenge Task 2 of 3

The <ul> with the class main-nav is a block-level element by default, so it takes up the full width of its container. Let's set .main-nav to be as wide as the content inside it. Change the display of .main-nav to the display value that generates a block element that doesn't take up a full line.

I thought the answer would have been .main-nave li { display: inline; }

style.css
/* Complete the challenge by writing CSS below */

header {
  text-align: center;
}
.logo {
  width: 110px;
  margin: auto;
}

.main-nav li {
display: inline-block;

}
index.html

Sorry, re-read the post... and looked at your code. Its asking you to make all of .main-nav to be inline-block and it looks like you have just selected the list ( .main-nav li )

so your code should look like :

.main-nav { display: inline-block; }

I think that should sort it....if not....i'm still on the basics :)

Hi there! Daniel Houghton is partially correct. The code he lists is for step 2 of the challenge. However, step 1 of the challenge requests the display type of the list items inside the main-nav class to be altered. The second step requires the display of all of the main-nav class to be altered. To accomplish this, you will need two separate rules. One for .main-nav li and one for .main-nav.

Good luck! :sparkles:
