Do i need to do the full console foundations course to learn java (for android)?

I joined treehouse to learn how to make android app with java. I watched Fun facts app trailer and loved the simplicity of the project. When I joined in that course, i was directed to learn java, then i joined java course, i was directed to console foundations course. Which is more than 3hours. Do I have to do the full console foundations, java course and android fun facts app course to make that simple app? A little background of me: I know basics of android studio and XML. I desinged simple interfaces in android studio. Just want good foundation in java to make apps.

You need to know basics of java to develop android apps. Go for any basic java course.

Well you don't need it for the simple applications in the beginning but knowing the console foundations is a useful skill to have when working with git or servers or Sqlite so for now you don't have to do it but i recommend doing it to make you a better developer :). Happy Coding.
