2,032 Pointsdocument.querySelectorAll selector question
In the review test, I have this selector, which works fine in the console. Can anyone tell me why this is failing when it gets to listItems[*] line?
Thanks!
const listItems = document.querySelectorAll('#rainbow'); const colors = ["#C2272D", "#F8931F", "#FFFF01", "#009245", "#0193D9", "#0C04ED", "#612F90"];
for(var i = 0; i < colors.length; i ++) {
listItems[i].style.color = colors[i];
}

231,271 PointsAre you sure you get all different colors in the console?
The challenge says, "The collection should contain all list items in the unordered list element with the id of rainbow."
But using '#rainbow'
as the selector would give you a collection with only the list element itself in it. I would expect all the items would appear with the same color.
But to get a collection of the list items, you could create a descendant selector using the id along with the li
tag: '#rainbow li'
. Then you should see the rainbow (and pass the challenge).
