href="social-links" sets the link to the page social-links, such as if you had a file named social-links.html. The challenge is expecting you to add a class called "social-links" and leave the link unchanged. To add a class to an element, you can use class=, followed by the name of the class.

I tried what you were saying and it did not work. It kept saying this (which I don't know what it means) You need to set the 'class' attribute of the first <a> element to "social-links".

Did you add a class to both <a> elements and change the value of href to "#"?

<a href="#" class="social-links">Follow me on Twitter!</a>
<a href="#" class="social-links">Send me an Email!</a>

Oh! I forgot! Thanks!
