Does the ASP.NET MVC basics course use a database?

Hi. Has anyone been through the MVC basics course? Does it include a database once they get to the Models part?

As the title implies, that course concentrates on the basics of MVC and does not get into databases.

But there are several other courses covering aspects of Entity Frameworks that do.
