drawing skills

Hello,

I am really bad at drawing... does this mean that I can't do design work?

I cant draw with traditional methods, but I can do good illustrations in Illustrator and my general design work in digital tools such as photoshop, 3DSM, Maya etc is pretty good too.

I have started to learn to draw though as drafting and mock work can be a lot easier with traditional methods.

Anyone can learn to draw though, just takes dedication and practice.

Being creative and being able to think fast to resolve design issues will help. Design applications are tools like a pencil or brush. Drawing is a skill that you have or don't but can hurt you as an artist.
